FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nakayama Studios Unveils Plans to Open a New Rental Photography Studio in Southern CaliforniaOn June 6th 2009 Nakayama Photography Studios announced the soft opening of "The Rorschach Complex," a multi-set photography rental studio located in the heart of Southern California.COLTON, CA (NPS) Photographers Richard Rasner and Jenna Black, of Nakayama Photography Studios in Las Vegas, NV announced this past week the soft opening of their new venture "The Rorschach Complex." The Complex, which will be presented by the parent company of Nakayama Studios, LLC, is a state of the art photography rental studio with full size three-dimensional sets, a portrait center, a product photography center and many other amenities that are frequently requested by photographers. The studio is located in Colton, CA where the 215 and 10 freeways meet, and is within five minutes of the 210, 60 and 91 freeways as well.
Details on exactly what the entire studio will include by the time of its grand opening in late summer are being kept carefully under wraps, but certain elements such as the full-time dedicated private office for clients and the expansive lobby (including a 40" TV and an X-Box 360) have already been mentioned online. Another frequently mentioned feature is the mini café that acts as a ready room before guests reach the main set areas.
Nakayama Studios CEO Richard Rasner
(www.UniqueNudes.com) is a Las Vegas and Los Angeles based photographer whose moniker "Unique Nudes" is known around the globe. His work is diverse and unusual, featuring models of all shapes and sizes and in every color of the rainbow. Unique Nudes' images have been featured in galleries and museums worldwide, including the exclusive Arts Factory in Lodz, Poland and also the Erotic Heritage Museum in Las Vegas, NV. His first art photography book "Whispers of the Mind" was a best-seller for Amazon.com in 2006 and he is currently releasing part one of a two-volume series at the end this year entitled "Abandoned" as well as appearing in numerous other photography collection books due out in 2009. Mr. Rasner has also had numerous documentaries made about his work, and his film "The Long Beach Marathon Nude Shoot" was nominated for 'Best Film of the Year' on deviantART, the world's largest online art community.
His partner in this venture is Nakayama Studios President Jenna Black, who is both the founder and owner of the new Rorschach Complex. Jenna Black
(www.JennaBlackPhotography.com) is a breakout artist who in her relatively short professional career has taken the artistic photography community by storm. Known for her creative and unusual work featuring figure studies with snakes and nude aerial silk acrobatics on location, Jenna's images are often emulated by other photographers. By age 20 Jenna already had six months of gallery showings to her credit, and was also the youngest photographer to work for Mojo Republik Magazine (a division of Universal Records, Inc) traveling the United States photographing such bands as Panic! At The Disco, The Flobots, and many more. Now just 21 years old Jenna Black is opening the dynamic and expansive Rorschach Complex as part of her ongoing dedication to the artistic community.
The parent company of Nakayama Studios, LLC is presenting The Rorschach Complex under its umbrella moniker, and will be closely involved with the day to day activities of the studio. Nakayama Studios, well-known for its international charity efforts worldwide, has announced that the grand opening of The Rorschach Complex will be paired with a charity concert benefitting "Heroes Against Hunger," a Southern California based group run by musician Eben Brooks which donates food and money to food banks throughout San Diego County. In addition, the Complex has announced a "green-friendly, low carbon footprint" based design that will help offset the energy wasteful business model often associated with rental photography studios, by offering pitchers of water and washable glasses (as opposed to bottled water), linens instead of paper towels, and 100% banana peel based recycled printer papers along with a slew of other high and low tech solutions to the world's energy crisis. Many of the set items are also authentic antiques, rather than modern reproductions. Nakayama Studios has also announced plans for artistic community-building events such as portfolio review sessions by world-famous artists and inexpensive photography classes for both beginning and advanced photographers.
The Rorschach Complex, named for the ink-blot test rather than the graphic novel character, has announced plans to be a 24 hours a day, seven days a week studio, with an opening staff of 2 full time employees and four part time employees. All costs associated with renting the property including sets, lights, props and more will be included in one rental price, nor will there be an additional 'after-hours' charge since the studio will be available 24 hours a day by appointment. The studio is currently open for business during construction, with a special discounted rate for those wanting a first look. A grand opening once the studio is finished is tentatively scheduled for late summer.
For additional information about the grand opening and other upcoming events and/or media inquires please contact the Complex directly at info@RorschachComplex.com or visit the website at

Just because she is naked it doesn't automatically make it porn. Likewise, just because you shot it on film in black and white doesn't make it 'fine art' either. Let's bring artistic nude photography back to the respected art form it once was.
